Hello, my name is Erica Reeves and I am currently a student at the Pennsylvania State University in State College. I am enrolled in the college of Liberal Arts, double majoring in both Political Science and Communication Arts and Sciences. I plan on becoming an attorney specializing in corporate law.
When I was younger, everyone was always asking "what do you want to be when you grow up?" While most seventh graders would cringe or laugh at this question, I would smile and say "a lawyer." Ever since I participated in a debate in Junior High, I knew that I wanted to do that for the rest of my life. Why? I lost that debate and I had never felt more passionately about a loss until that moment. That is when I decided that I was never going to lose a debate, or anything for that matter, again.
That set the tone for both my high school and college career. I chose to never stop learning and found that if you aren't improving yourself, then you are satisfied. My academic life has taught me that you can never be satisfied, because there is always something more to learn. Pennsylvania State University has allowed me to grow as a person and continue my passion for knowledge. I have also been given great opportunities to become involved and I am currently a member of a national honors fraternity and a member of the university's honors society.
